The Pediatric dosage calculator is a web tool designed to assist healthcare professionals in calculating the correct doses of any drug meant for the pediatric population easily.
The calculator is programmed to doses based on body weight in kilograms or pounds. It also has an added functionality that allows you to calculate the dosages of the drug in mL, in cases where the drug is a solution or suspension.
How To Use This Pediatric Dosage Calculator
To use our pediatric dose calculator, follow the following steps.
- Enter the Weight of the child either in kilograms (kg) or pounds (lbs), and choose the applicable unit.
- Enter the Dosage of the drug and choose the applicable dosing unit (mg/kg, μg/kg, ng/kg).
- Select the dosing Frequency of the prescribed drug.
- If the drug is a liquid or suspension, and you wish to calculate the dose in mg/ml. Enter the drug concentration in mg per mL. This feature is optional.
- Click the Calculate Dose button to obtain your calculated pediatric dose of choice drug.
