How To Use This Vyvanse Dosage Calculator

To use our Vyvanse dosage calculator, just follow the following steps.

  1. Enter the Age of the patient in years. Vyvanse is not recommended for use in children below the age of 6. Hence, this calculator only calculates doses in patients that are 6 years and above.
  2. Select the Indication for which the drug was prescribed. The tool allows you to choose between attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and binge eating disorder. 
  3. Click the Calculate Dose button to obtain your calculated dose of Vyvanse.

The Dosages Used By This Vyvanse Dosage Calculator

The doses of Lisdexamfetamine Dimesylate (Vyvanse) calculated by this tool are based on the following dosing information. 

  1. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
    • <6 years: Safety and efficacy not established
    • ≥6 years: 30 mg orally every morning; not to exceed 70 mg in a day.
  2. Binge Eating Disorder in Adults
    • Starting dose: 30 mg/day orally, THEN titrated in increments of 20 mg at approximately 1-week intervals to achieve the recommended target dose of 50-70 m per /day.
